ABOUT
Resilience Through
Music and Conversation
Healing History a tribute to diversity and music in Bastrop County. This series is aimed at creating healing conversations and high-quality musical experiences to overcome the cross-cultural miscommunication that permeates our societal systems. It is through shared human experiences that we desire to create inclusive approaches to resilience, equity and the arts. Healing History works from a trauma-informed perspective to guide change for Bastrop County.

WHAT IS A PHOTOVOICE?

Photovoice is a participatory action research method that employs photography and group dialogue as a means for marginalized individuals to deepen their understanding of a community issue or concern. The visual images and accompanying stories are the tools used to reach policy- and decision-makers. The aim of this research method is to improve conditions by making changes at the community level.
